HS & MS Science Team's First Victory!

The secondary school science team created 2 airplanes and entered their first competition, the LEAF STEM Challenge. The challenges were for the craft to fly as far as possible while carrying as much weight. The high schoolers won first and third places, and the middle schoolers won second place in their respective contest. The first two planes broke during the competition, and they used the parts mid-contest to create a third one which they used for the rest of the competition.  The contest was held at Seattle's Museum of Flight, which is a few blocks from Boeing, and the team defeated Raysback Aviation High School, which is funded by Boeing. The wings of the final plane currently hang in Mr. Neill's classroom. Congratulations!
